Inspiration for black and white photography comes from Ansel Adams born in 1902 and died 1984.
He developed the zone system for black and white photography which is still used to this day , calibrating all your lenses, standardizing the type of film used ISO settings the film developer used time and temperature and fixer all to produce a consistent negative with which to work, printing in the darkroom would also mean calibrating the lenses used in your enlarger standardizing paper used grade of paper then developer and fixer strict times and temperatures.
All to produce the most amazing photographs of such a high quality with
a superb tonal range and depth.
Ansel Adams distinct style of photography of California and the West including
